Okay so, If you follow me on GoodReads, you probably have seen how much I loved this book. I wrote an review with all my hear just after finish the book, but now, here's a proper one.
Aveyard's writing style really cautivated me in a whole new level. And it is that at first, when I started, I was a bit skeptical about whether I would like it or not because my standards and my hype were at their highest levels. But Victoria Aveyard really left me breathless, speechless, and wishing for the sequel as I had never wished for a sequel in my entire life as a reader.Victoria Aveyard leads us to an extraordinary story through their diligent narrative skills.
The story goes beyond a girl named Mare Barrow who suddenly finds herself amidst a chaos caused by a slip that has now endangered the whole system of a kingdom. It tells the story of the tenacity of people when they have reasonable grounds to fight the horrible feeling of betrayal and darkness that lies behind the power.
Her prose intrudes us in a world from which I came to feel part of it. I found myself crying while reading some chapter and then laughing. In moments the sadness of Mare, I cried with her. I did everything that I felt she was going through at that time.The characters are a wonderful and fantastic part in this story. The tough yet so fragile Mare Barrow opened my eyes to see beyond people, always have one eye open and the other dreaming, to not lose hope and never give up.
Julian intelligent and shrewd, that more than one we can identify with him based on his passion and love for books, his ability to find beauty in the pages and in worlds as far to his, showing a superb skill and intelligence in truth I can only but praise it.
Maven was my favorite characters to a point; cuts, eloquent and flattering, but after certain events thus I came to hate, I can say he became a new Snow or Umbridge (you know what I mean) On the other side is Cal, who I loved completely. Personally, I do not usually get along too with the male characters, but Cal really made me feel an inexplicable connection. Because sometimes it is to have the weight of a lot about you, and carry us not attribute responsibilities.
This is way too much different to the other dystipian novels that I've read, because now the concepts of Dystopian and Fantasy, they now have a new meaning in this story and are so good complemented.
I bow to Victoria Aveyard and her tenacity, his courage and amazing narrative. And now, after reading the acknowledgments of the book, if I do nothing but get along with her, and realizing I relate with her in many ways. Without doubt, now is part of the people who inspire me.

Ambientada en un reino imaginario, esta novela nos muestra a una sociedad dividida por el color de la sangre. Por un lado está la gente común que tiene sangre roja; por el otro tenemos a aquellos que poseen sangre plateada y que tienen habilidades sobrenaturales. Estos últimos forman una élite cerrada y llena de privilegios. La protagonista es Mare, una chica de sangre roja que sobrevive en medio de la pobreza realizando pequeños robos. Cierto día, el azar la lleva a la corte. Allí demuestra tener poderes especiales, los cuales resultan insólitos para alguien del pueblo. Ello la convierte en una anomalía que llama la atención del mismísimo rey. Éste desea aprovechar en su beneficio los poderes de la joven y la hace pasar por una princesa, quien supuestamente se casará con uno de sus hijos.

Qué libro tan más emocionante! De una vez advierto que si se me
escapa uno o dos spoilers, por favor, discúlpenme, pero no me puedo
contener.
La reina roja se ha convertido indiscutiblemente en uno de
mis libros favoritos este año. Y es que al principio, cuando lo
comencé, estaba un poco escéptico acerca de si me iba a gustar o no
por que mis estándares y mi hype estaban en sus niveles mas altos.
Pero Victoria Aveyard en verdad me dejó sin aliento, sin palabras, y
deseando por la precuela como nunca antes había deseado una en toda
mi vida de lector.
Victoria Aveyard nos induce a una extraordinaria
historia mediante sus diligentes dotes narrativos. La historia va más
allá de una chica que de repente se encuentra en medio de un caos
causado por un desliz que ahora ha puesto en peligro todo el sistema
de un reino. Nos cuenta la historia de la tenacidad de las personas
cuando tienen suficientes motivos para luchar, el horrible
sentimiento de las traiciones y la oscuridad que se oculta tras el
poder.
Su prosa nos inmiscuye en un mundo del cual yo me llegué a
sentir parte de el. En los momentos de tristeza de Mare, lloré con
ella. Lo hice por que sentí todo lo que ella estaba pasando en ese
momento. Los personajes son una parte maravillosa y fantástica
dentro de esta historia. La tenaz pero a la vez tan endeble Mare
Barrow me abrió los ojos a ver más allá de las personas, a siempre
tener un ojo abierto y el otro soñando, a no perder la esperanza y a
nunca darse por vencido. El inteligente y sagaz Julian, que más de
uno nos podemos identificar con él en base a su pasión y amor por
los libros, su capacidad para encontrar la belleza en las páginas y
en mundos tan lejanos al suyo, muestra una pericia y un inteligencia
soberbia que en verdad no puedo sino más que alabar eso. Maven fue
de mis personajes favoritos hasta un punto; cortes, elocuente y
adulador, pero por ende después de ciertos eventos lo llegué a
odiar, digamos que se convirtió en un mi nuevo Snow o Umbridge. Y
por otro lado está Cal, a quien amé completamente.
En lo personal,
no suelo congeniar demasiado con los personajes masculinos, pero Cal
en verdad hizo que sintiera una conexión inexplicable. Por que en
ocasiones sé que es el tener el peso de muchas cosas sobre ti, y
cargar con responsabilidades que no nos atribuyen. Está bien, ya me
puse melodramático pero aún diciendo todo esto, me quedo corto con
todo lo que quiero decir de la historia. Me inclino ante Victoria
Aveyard y su tenacidad, su valentía y su increíble narrativa. Y
ahora, después de leer los agradecimientos del libro, no hago si no
más que congeniar con ella, y dándome cuenta que congeniamos en
muchas cosas. Sin duda alguna, ahora forma parte de las personas que
más me inspiran. Si aún no has leído este libro, en verdad, ¿Qué
estás esperando? mi corazón paso por una ola de emociones de la que
me atrevo a decir, solo un contado numero de libros me ha causado.
